This place was highly recommended by some of our expat friends. We decided to pay a second visit as we wanted a brunch like meal on a cold Sunday morning. Missed posting on our first visit. We ordered French toast with cream cheese frosting which was awesome, fish and chips, and chocolate chip and banana pancakes. Meal taste was good but the wait time was not great. Waited close to 30 minutes for our food. Luckily we... View all feedback.
What Cris L doesn't like about Jb's Diner Cafe:
Great open space for brunch with a large patio. Surprised by large American portions but sadly disappointed by the flavor: Creamy mushroom soup (not pictured) tastes watered down. Nachos burnt in some areas, tasted like plastic. Under seasoned. Vegetarian Omelette way too much dried bell peppers inside that was still crunchy and undercooked. I basically left half the filling untouched. The hash brown tasted dry and j... View all feedback.
Great food and helpful staff who are willing to fix their mistakes. I had the veggie burger. The texture was a little soft, but I would still recommend it. Definitely pet friendly as I saw a dog both inside and outside the restaurant.
After reading all the negative reviews about the service and quality of food I was a bit apprehensive about going here. I was, however, looking for a place with nice outdoor seating, that I hadn't been to before and I finally decided to go see how it was for myself. The outdoor seating here is lovely btw, just off the road but with lots of trees and on a relatively low traffic street, so it's very pleasant and quiet. We didn't have a reservation and I was expecting to be turned away because it was the weekend, but surprisingly there were tables available. Maybe it was because it wasn't too hectic and full, but the service was great friendly and prompt. The food was good too. We had the bacon jam blue cheese burger which was very good and the veggie Mexican burger which was decent. The carrot cake was definitely the best part of the meal we had, with pineapple bits and coconut flakes, it had so many flavors and textures that went perfectly together.
It’s a beautiful restaurant, good for family with kids. However the staff at reception not overly helpful, I don’t think she knows what she’s doing. Food is not amazing, took a lots of maple syrup to swallow those pancakes. The worst pancakes in Taipei. Pulled pork Cuban sandwiches is a joke. It’s pork loin instead of pulled pork.
Nice food and gorgeous interior. can be cold at some parts of the place so bring a jacket just in case if you're sensitive to that! love the sausage here. delicious!

Nachos burnt in some areas, tasted like plastic. Under seasoned. Vegetarian Omelette way too much dried bell peppers inside that was still crunchy and undercooked. I basically left half the filling untouched. The hash brown tasted dry and just wasn’t tasty at all. The quinoa toast was decent. Caesar Salad it was standard but again wish it had more dressing or more cheese topping. Overall service was good and helpful but unfortunately won’t be back for brunch. Perhaps just coffee.
