Gonpachi Shibuya - 渋谷

Solid nomikai place with good food, large private rooms, and friendly and attentive staff. 10 minute walk from Shibuya station. It's not a romantic place for a date, or particularly unique (it's a chain), but you can't go wrong booking this for your office party. Safe bet when you have a large group that includes a few directors, and want decent food.

Servers are really friendly, although you do have to work quite a bit to get their attention. We had a really large group and reserved one of the private rooms— it has a gorgeous view of Tokyo at night. The food was good but not out of this world, drinks were tasty. It seems slightly smaller than the other Gonpachi location.

Always a pleasure to go to Gonpachi Shibuya branch. Make sure to book ahead because it gets packed really fast from Thursday to Sunday night. Great private rooms available for groups. Main floor is a bit noisy and the music they blast feels a bit like a club sometimes. There's a vegan menu available and they can also do vegan mentsuyu for the soba menu. Great cocktails drink selection.

A classy venue with a brilliant 14th floor view of shibuya. I recommend booking a private room if you have a group since this gives you the best experience. Food is very tasty and feels very high class. If you 're only ordering a main and a couple of sides, the price is actually very good given the prestige of the place ~2000円 . And of course the staff are very accommodating. Definitely a must try if visiting Japan.
