Contribute FeedbackMixed reviews for this Sherbrooke sushi spot: some say it's disappointing, with subpar food and slow service, while others praise the innovative rolls and great staff. Issues with freshness, slow service, and seating quality were noted, but the atmosphere was generally described as elegant. The lack of traditional sushi items on the menu was a downside for some, but others enjoyed the variety offered. Overall, experiences varied from high expectations to average eats, making it a hit-or-miss choice for sushi lovers in Sherbrooke.
The first and last time. we are from montreal and eat high end and a lot of almost food and food business sushi. I went with my friend and 10 year old son to beose and decided to go with all that they can eat...option on the menu. we tried to promote independent restaurants instead of just going to the sushi shop. we ordered less than the minimum 3 per person (because we are not big eater) 7 different rolls and 4 pieces lachs nitriri. the small piece of tuna in the Maki-roll was cut off and into the wrong direction that I had to spit out. the fried roll was covered with a strange sugar-dick-mandel-break that was intrigued on paper, but I could only eat a piece of 5. the spider roll contained an unmistakable deep fried bit that I had to force myself to swallow down, that was not soft peeled. all the other rolling were also quite bad I didn't know they could go so wrong with rolling (aki sushi in the magog subway is much better). the salmon nitriri and mango roll were the only decent objects. I explained the waitress that the thunfish is switched off in my roll and alerts the cook and that I couldn't eat the fried rolls (they calculate otherwise a $1 per uneaten piece). my friend and son, who finished the first job there, asked for a portion lachs nigiri each (4 pieces in total) this is all they can eat. the waitress tells us that they run out of salmon fishing, there were a total of 5 other people in the restaurant on Tuesday, as we arrived at 6:45 a.m. obviously they simply cut us off from more of the expensive object. I would not have taken the time to write a bad review if it was just that eating was disgusting, it is dishonest. simply limit the number of nigiri on the menu, load more, simply in front of the top, so the customer has the information to select the à la carte option. they can survive through summer high season in magog because tourists and natives try it once, but I would be surprised if they are opened next year. at least there is a minimum of quality control in the aki sushi and sushi shop.
Almost no service, the staff is rude and seems unhappy to work there. the price is really high and sushi contain very little meat, only rice.
Really above average. It's a simple elegant restaurant that delivers great service and great food! Staff is awesome! I'm totally going to go back next time I visit Sherbrooke!
Service I've experienced the worst for a long time. it took 30 minutes to sit in an empty restart when we watched the server chat with the chefs and how he apparently did nothing. we had to wait all night for everything, and he was, unsightly and steadfast. will not come back and will not beat them either.
They are not much of a sushi place. They do some interesting rolls but if you're going for sashimi you will be disappointed. The Decour and I'll be ounces very good and the staff was OK. There are not many great Japanese restaurants in Sherbrooke......So it is what it is.
