What Art C doesn't like about 18 Bay:
Overall, not a bad first experience on SHELTER ISLAND. And this restaurant has a lot going for it, including a nice (and chatty) host, perfect ambiance, a loyal local following, etc. Sadly, there are other things which we didn't find quite as appealing. First, the food, while very tasty, is probably not worth the prices they're charging (don't get me started on the $25 glass of wine). Service- hmm, I felt like we wer... View all feedback.
Really great culinary experience with thoughtful eating and wine pairings. some of the best foods at east end, and its all locally harvested.
Really special experience for 10th high-time day. ambiente, eating, cocktails, wine pairing and service all top notch. jimmy and the whole team were very knowledgeable and amazing round. highly recommended
My wife and I loved our experience in 18 bay. jimmy, the general manager, greeted us when we first came in and asked us to choose an open table that was perfect for us. I decided to buy a special occasion to buy a pair of weeping that was a bit expensive, but wanted to impress my wife. she loves to taste different weeping. jimmy shaked every glass and came to the table to give us a small story of every bottle. he was very knowledgeable and always offered to give her another wee if she did not like the one he chose for her. the food was very tasty and satisfying. the service was excellent and the ambiente perfect. overall the night was fantastic. many thanks, jimmy and the 18 bay team

Set menu. Eating is always delicious. High-end restaurant, it's about $125 per person. So we always go to a celebrity dinner there. highly recommended.
