Jurys Inn - Sheffield

We stayed at this hotel during a coach trip booked through Alpha room. The breakfast was okay, but the evening meal left something to be desired. We stayed from Monday to Friday and upon check-in, we were only given a room key with no other instructions. The next day, we noticed that no one had been in the room to clean, assuming that some hotels clean every other day. The same thing happened the following day. When I went to reception to inquire, I was informed that we needed to notify them before 12pm if we wanted housekeeping services. As a result, our bin had not been emptied for three days and nothing else had been done in terms of cleaning. When I asked for clean towels, I had to wait for two hours and then go back down to reception to request them again. The following day, housekeeping came at 9:20am, changed the bed sheets and put away the towels, but did not empty the bin. Since we were leaving the next day, we decided not to bother requesting another clean-up. The breakfast was satisfactory, but the evening meal did not meet our expectations, so we opted to eat out during our stay.

Good food, a decent amount of choice, food was prompt, tasty and warm. Drinks were great too, worth trying if staying

5 mins from train station and minutes to city centre. Excellent lstaff all extremely professional and friendly. Bar staff exceptional and welcoming. Great rooms all newly decorated and very comfy. Restaurant menu much improved. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel but a good 15 minute walk from the town centre, an ok selection of draught and bottled beer and considering this is a good hotel the only food they served was pub style food.
