I am disappointed to have to write a less than favorable review of this restaurant, especially when I am grateful for its offering of vegan options. It is commendable that this park cafe provides vegan choices, although during our visit, many of these options were sold out or no longer available. As a result, we settled for chips and a chip butty, which unfortunately were not of good quality. The chips were dry and bland, requiring an excessive amount of ketchup to add flavor. On a positive note, they do offer frappes made with soya milk (although mine lacked ice and resembled more of a cold coffee or shake). Their smoothies, on the other hand, were delicious. It is worth noting that they also sell vegan Magnums, allowing vegans to enjoy an ice cream treat. Despite the disappointment with the chips, we may consider revisiting the cafe for other menu items.
I hate to leave a less than stellar review for this place, as I appreciate their effort in providing vegan options. It's fantastic that this café in the park offers vegan choices. However, during our visit, most of the vegan options were unavailable, so we settled for chips and a chip butty. Unfortunately, the chips were disappointing, lacking flavor and moisture. I had to use a lot of ketchup just to make them edible. On a positive note, they offer frappes with soy milk (although mine lacked ice and resembled more of a cold coffee drink), and their smoothies are delicious. Another highlight is that they sell vegan magnums, allowing vegans to indulge in a treat. Despite the chip mishap, we may return in the future.
I am disappointed to write a slightly negative review of a place that I also appreciate for its efforts. I admire the fact that this park café offers vegan options, which is something to commend. Unfortunately, during our visit, most of the vegan options were sold out or removed from the menu, leading us to settle for chips and a chip butty. This wouldn't have been a problem if the chips were tasty, but unfortunately, they were quite dry and bland. I found myself using an excessive amount of ketchup just to add some flavor to the meal. On a positive note, the café offers frappes made with soy milk (although mine did not have any ice cream and resembled more of a cold coffee or shake), which was enjoyable, and their smoothies were delicious. Additionally, I was pleased to discover that they sell vegan Magnums, allowing vegans to enjoy an ice cream treat in the park. Despite the disappointing chips, I still plan to visit again, but will likely opt for a different menu item.
