What John Khor doesn't like about Spitalfield's Gastrobar:
I think if you enjoy a beer and cocktails with finger foods this might be the place for you. My daughter and I ordered the sausages which were a little chewy but quite tasty. The mash potato sides were ordinary and I wouldn't call them particularly interesting or flavourful either. Frankly speaking, we've had better but still it was a pleasant enough experience View all feedback.
Good ambiente with delicious food! the price was at the high end, but the proportion of relatiw is large. we ordered 4 main dishes, 1 pork ribs for the exchange and 1 pork frying made from lunch meat. recommended for family meetings or friends gather!
Food Very big portion and delicious. Environment is very chill. Worth to give it a try!!
I didn’t take much pictures of the pace as I was in a hurry. The bar area is very nice and spaced out properly. The restaurant area was also very comfortable. We had lambshank as per attached picture and big breakfast. The big breakfast was overall a 4/5. Reason for this rating is because the eggs were overcooked and very small portion but still tasted good. They also served very small portion of baked beans. No complaints about the mushrooms and bacon. It was flavourful and worth it. In terms of the lambshank, the mash potato and gravy was delicious. The lamb meat some fell off the bone but the only issue was that as you eat into the meat the deeper part of it was still frozen. We did mention it to the waitress but she looked at us blankly. We do plan to visit the bar again and see how the service is. Hopefully better than the restaurant.
Happy hour is overpriced with Guinness at RM28 per pint when around the block a similar pint is 30% cheaper. Then again, you pay for the imagination of drinking in a mockup of London's wholesale meat market, a place I used to frequent as a lost soul in London. No Jack the Ripper found here, but some bar maids from Sungai Buloh and Manila with enticing eyes above their masked faces, with bad attitudes sometimes during their monthly mood swings..
