What shady snf doesn't like about Cracker Barrel Old Country Store:

Website said there was a waiting time when it wasn't so, so we waited about 45 minutes because we never have a text that explains our table ready. When I confronted employees, nobody could explain why this happened. The food was good.
I was here tonight with my family. We had a very pleasant time, but I could not help but notice the absence of smiles from the staff except the waitress who was very beautiful and cheerful. The food was good, but cold. I have not and would not complain, the customer service is hard enough without complaint. I tried to give each as many smiles as possible and tilted accordingly. I go back because this is our favorite restaurant and it was always amazing in the past. I hope management sees this and does something nice for them to help them to like their jobs more. The best way to motivate people is money, especially in these hard economic times. An increase would be good for morality. A thank you and compliments also help. I hope the customers see this and give the staff extra smile and that they tap their servers well. It is the least we can do to thank them for the work they do and spread a little kindness in a world that needs so much nowadays. Bless God.
We got in. My guest ordered the chicken BLT with the steak frits and said it was fantastic. I ordered the land fried steak with the pintos and greens for my pages. The meal was good overall. I found out, however, that I am not as happy to be steak fried by her country as my husband and adult son are, without the restaurant being guilty. I have to say that their pintos and greens are always delicious. I've never been disappointed. The service was also very good.
It was a tough time for all restaurants, but this visit had many servers and what seemed to be a manager! What usually precedes the good service. I had the pancake and it was good. It is here what I really liked to ask for crispy bacon and how the server put it before me.. She said, “It’s not crispy, is it?” So she took it back and brought it back to perfection. It hardly happens.
Food was good overall. Rainbow trout was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Breakfast plate was good as always. Biscuits were warm and soft. 2 things could have been better. Chicken and dumplings were a bit runny and chicken gravy on the chicken tenders was kinda bland. Prices are fair.
