The hotel itself is just OK. But the food is good, especially the breakfast…we always go here by water. There is plenty of boat docking and it is just a fun environment to have some drinks, listen to music and kick back in the sun. View all feedback.
What Gisselle Gleichner doesn't like about Blackfins At Captain Hiram's Resort:
Always enjoy Blackfin's restaurant. Food is fresh, servers are friendly and attentive. But the parts have decreased over time. I hope it goes back to the way it used to be View all feedback.

Hello, our server and the overall service were absolutely amazing. But although I enjoyed my meal, we had several people at the table who was disappointed with their food! Especially those who ordered the Sea Food Pasta and Fliesuccine intestine (all said it was too watery) and the fish and chips had two small pieces of fish for the price. Apart from that, the service was perfect, we all had a great time.
We waited for our food for almost 45 minutes! The longest we've ever waited. But it was delicious as always
Minus zero. Had a last minute reservation about 2 hours before. For reservation. We sat pretty fast and nothing had arrived for 45 minutes. Drinking came fast. The appetizers of the people and the raw bar came fast, but the hot food was on order. The waitress came after half an hour and said your ticket is next door. She said the kitchen is busy, but it seemed fast for all the others around us. When a manager came by the exit, he had absolutely nothing to say. Only good at this experience was Fred the bird (an Ibis). I'm glad I'm just a visitor because I'm not back.
Was first seated next to open window with high winds and server refused to close it because the people at the next table who were not experiencing the same winds did not want them closed, so I asked that they seat us elsewhere. The chefs do not pay attention to the server's comments asked for lightly blackened and was over dark blackened and extremely salty snapper unable to eat it. Took it home and washed it out. Rolls and butter were excellent. Our server was excellent after we were moved to another table but the first server was terrible next to the huge winds blowing in where we were unable to sit comfortably and refused to help until we asked to be seated elsewhere. Not a place I would return. The food could have been cooked better they need to update their chefs to make people want to eat there again. It was just okay food but not as good as Riverside Cafe in Vero Beach.
