We have been frequenting this restaurant for many years and have always enjoyed the delicious and high-quality food. Some of our favorite dishes include the General Tso's chicken, pea vines, hot and sour soup, and beef soups. A friend of mine who worked at a Chinese restaurant in Queens as a teenager once told me that you can judge the quality of a Chinese restaurant by their hot and sour soup. I'm not sure if that's... Great food green barley noodles are outstanding bit really expensive
The food was delicious and the service was very fast! The atmosphere was great!
In my opinion, Shanghai Garden is one of the top three best restaurants in Seattle, and by far the best Chinese one. The wait staff is also so kind and attentive and has been there for years and years. Some of my favorite items include: Hot and sour soup. Best in the city. Hand shaven Barleygreen Noodle Chow Mein. I’ve never had this anywhere else and it’s a favorite. My kids (ages 3 and 6) love these noodles so much that we often order two. Tofu with Black Bean Sauce Mooshu. Delicious, and pancakes are fresh. Vegetable steamed dumplings So glad Shanghai Garden is here in Seattle for us to enjoy!
We have been coming here for years and Shanghai Garden is always excellent. Great for large parties of people. We ordered about 12 dishes for 10 very hungry people and every dish was excellent. It was about $25 per person, so the price was normal for Seattle. The eggplant, the hand shaved barley noodles and the orange chicken were excellent. We will keep coming back.
The hand shaven noodle had good texture but was a little greasy. Personally I think the portion was also just a little bit small for $20 compared to surrounding restaurants for what you could buy for $20. I would only come here again if my friend wanted to go which is the situation that happened. It's not something I would come out the way for though..
