While vegan options are limited and some dishes fell short of expectations, service remains a highlight. With wait times to consider, reservations are recommended. The banana foster French toast stands out as a delicious and satisfying option. Overall, the restaurant receives praise for its atmosphere, brunch offerings, and accommodating staff, making it a worthwhile visit in the Seattle area.
The banana pancakes and the farmers' daughters were both quite good, but no tons food for the price
The food we ordered was tasteless and overpriced. wouldn't go back if it wasn't for the pancakes.
Seattle is short on good breakfast spots, but Portage Bay has several locations and is a reliable choice. The banana pancakes and berry bar never disappoint.
Went with some friends for breakfast this morning and ordered the vegan hash. The only other options were Vegan banana pancakes or oatmeal, so I went with what seemed like the most interesting option. The hash itself was basically just a few slices of tofu atop a bunch of veggies and potatoes (luckily I added avo for extra flavor! and a piece of toast on the side. It tasted fine, but nothing special. They did have a pretty good local hot sauce that I poured over top, but at the end of the day it was really just basic vegetables and some plain tofu! Not worth it for the price, but at least it was a pretty large portion and I took some of it home for later.
