I stumbled upon this hidden gem while driving down a side road and I'm so glad I did! The food was fresh, the place was clean, and overall it was a great dining experience. Definitely worth checking out! Thank you. View all feedback.
What Chiara G doesn't like about Gyro House:
Found hair in my food!!!!! GROSS. The atmosphere was unwelcoming and eerie. When I walked in, the owner took my order and he seemed grumpy and tired. Food was overpriced and mediocre. Won't be ordering from here again.Food: 1/5 View all feedback.
This is a family GO-TO! Reasonably priced, fast and delicious- we need more of this in Seattle. Don't miss the falafel :
This place is totally exceptional, the real deal. Should probably be on a million best of seattle lists, and it will be soon. baklava to knock your socks off. these 1 star reviews are literally all about online ordering or parking or something dumb like that; pay no attention to the haters. amazing, straightforward, delicious, non pretentious. perfect.
I would give this restaurant one 1/2 stars. I stopped by for lunch and I was the only customer. There was a single employee. Call ok, server and cashier. The restaurant was dirty. He told me to sit anywhere. I had to find a clean table. I know, you 're asking why did you stay? I 'm asking myself that as I type away. A ordered a gyro figuring go for the signature entree . Low risk. Turned out to be low reward. Food is precooked and heated in a microwave. I could see the kitchen from where I sat. Again, should I have left? I also ordered a spanakopita. It was so small, a Costco package type serving. Tasted ok but cost not worth it. Stopped by the restroom. Not in service other than sink for hand washing. So, bottom line, this Gyro House should be torn down and rebuilt. What a disappointment. Contrary to General McArthur, I shall not return!!
Thank you Hameed! The flavors are distinct, Greek, and excellent. Care taken in preparing all the details, from the warm bread to the fresh garlic in the sauce. Seems like everything here is house-made. Had vegetarian plate and while the the dolmas were fairly salty, I agree with the other reviewers about the food's greatness. We sat in the back of the empty restaurant on a chilly Covid19 Friday night, no other sit-down customers, while the online delivery-order chime rang repeatedly from the kitchen. Some might not appreciate the old-school, almost cavernous feel of the dining rooms but I distinctly felt I was on the set of an old Vincent Price movie! Love it! The gentle cook greeted us, made our tea, took our order, AND rang us up after the meal! (He was not wearing his mask properly. I guess restaurants must save where they can these days. Again, many thanks!
Gyro House is an excellent find for Gyro lovers. The food was delicious, and their spicy sauce was amazing. We plan to make this a regular in our restaurant options. Perfect for a quick lunch or takeout for dinner.
