We went to holiday tea here and it was amazing. The food was delicious and the staff was kind and helpful. Our waiter asked us if we had any allergies, and I told him I was lactose intolerant, he gave me an entire dairy/lactose free plate! The building was absolutely gorgeous and it reminded me of being in an old mansion. Since it was the holidays there was a giant Christmas tree and gingerbread village. Will definit... What Davon O'Connell doesn't like about Georgian:
While I understand this is an experience I am appalled out how little value is is offered for the price of $95 per person. There was only a single type of tea allowed to be expected. Additionally, the food portions were abysmally small. Just overall disappointing as an opportunity to have a treat. There are far better ways to spend $200 for two people. View all feedback.
I made a reservation for 10:30... with the desire of coming for tea time but on weekends they only do tea time starting at NOON! The restaurant is super cute though, inside of the hotel. TBH I 'm not sure if a reservation was necessary because even on a Saturday from 10:30-12, there were tons of available tables so it seems like you may just walk right in for breakfast and still be seated right away. Service was okay. The breakfast was mediocre... a very small menu of overpriced breakfast items to choose from or you can select the breakfast buffet option(s) which wasn 't too special either. The buffet just had the regular pastries, hot foods and fruit which you would see at a less high end hotel continental breakfast which is usually FREE! Their only little leg up is their smoked salmon/anti-pasta and cheese table. I would only come back to try their afternoon tea and only for the experience and possibly a small little photo shoot... the place is cute no doubt but I would skip breakfast and only try tea time.
Dropped by the Georgian Restaurant on a weekday for high tea with a friend's bachelorette party and was swept off my feet by this charming place! We had reservations and were seated right on time without any delays. Initially, it felt a bit awkward since the atmosphere inside the restaurant was quiet and classic and we were definitely a vocal group of girls, but we were seated in a separate back area where we were able to converse without feeling too self conscious. The interior of the Georgian is gorgeous and definitely has a feeling of wonder it's the place to go if you want to be transported out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Our tea sets were made to fit any dietary restrictions vegetarian, vegan, allergies, etc. and our server was very flexible and helpful when it came to navigating a certain allergy. The tea sets looked unassuming but were quite filling and the tea selection was interesting and varied as well. I went with the orange pekoe which I really enjoyed though everyone loved the tea they ordered as well. Overall, this was a great place to bring together a group of newly made friends and offered delicious foods/desserts/tea in a rather beautiful setting. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great afternoon tea experience.
I had high expectations for afternoon tea here and I finally made plans with a girlfriend for this Sunday. I easily made a reservation a few weeks ahead on Open Table for 12:15pm. The restaurant is gorgeous with the huge windows and large chandeliers. I love the French feel of the decor. We were seated at a table for two with a love seat that was really cute. We had the earl grey tea and Ontario ice wine tea, which were both delicious and very different. I also enjoyed all the pastries and tea sandwiches, especially the vanilla panna cotta with berries, the scones and the strawberry cream puff. My only complaint would be the service. For a luxury price tag (almost $70 including tax and tip), you expect luxury service. The server constantly overfilled the teapot, which resulted in us spilling tea when we poured it. He didn't make any attempts to help us pour the tea or clean it up. He also took lackluster photos of us and didnt try very hard to do it. I don't assume that everyone's a great photographer but the Georgian is clearly a place where people take photos, and if you dont want to take photos /are not good at it, you can ask another server to do it.
My lovely husband took me to The Georgian for high tea the past Sunday afternoon and we had a wonderful experience. This place is inside THE historical posh hotel in Seattle, so of course it's beautiful and elegant. I also love their seatings for couples, it's a love seat and you get to sit side by side with your other half. As for the food, everything was pretty good. From the first seasonal berry course to the last desert bite. We especially love the warm scones. They are so delicious. The pricing is 49 dollars a person, I feel this is pretty reasonable in expensive DT Seattle. It's less that what they charge in the fancy places in Vancouver BC.
Was just in for high tea. All and all a fabulous place to sit back and enjoy the ambiance, food and service. The room IS beautiful ! I'm a sucker for chandeliers. And there are plenty of them Loved the table setting. Loved the chinas. Loved the teas... creamy Earl Grey jasmine... so much we brought home more to enjoy Loved the presentation and Jorge's outstanding service. Jorge and rest of the staff were right on cue with our requests. He even surprised us with birthday treat for my nieces birthday! Food was tasty and I especially loved the lox. Will be back Thank you for the very positive experience
