Similar food to Fonda La Catrina, but much less wait time to be seated. Food came out super quick. Food and drinks were good. Had the steak and chorizo tacos, they needed a little more flavor, but overall still good. Will definitely go here again. View all feedback.
What Vanessa L doesn't like about El Sirenito:
Visited to prep ourselves with drinks and food for the Georgetown Morgue on a weekend evening. Ended up being much more underwhelming than we thought it would be. We ordered the Ceviche, Carne Asada Tacos, and the Quesadilla. The only good item was the Quesadilla. The Ceviche was too sour and added pineapple even though it wasnt listed on the menu. I did see avocado was added to a few people's dishes, but it wasnt in... View all feedback.
In one of the more bizarre experiences I’ve ever had in a restaurant, the waiter refused to bring us share plates! He said they used them for the tostadas. When we pressed him saying we wanted to use them to eat our meal, he was rude about it, practically tossing some little bread dishes at the table. He then proceeded to ignore us for the rest of the evening, so much so that we had to get up to find him to pay the bill. If I could give him negative stars, I would. When we left, there was an enormous stack of clean plates at the bar. The restaurant wasn’t full (it was a Monday). And plus, since when are plates at a restaurant a scarce commodity?I used to wait tables and always tip but couldn’t bring myself to do it, he was that rude.To top it off my friend got violently ill after the meal (we ordered clams and ceviche) and I got the runs. Can’t say I’ll be running back here.
Tacos Al pastor were delicious! Insane selection of mezcal can’t wait to go back on half off wednesdays!Food: 5/5
I've been here a couple of times, and it's just a wonderful experience. Great margaritas, delicious food, incredible staff.Food: 5/5
Great food, great drinks and cool atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and they do a special al pastor taco dinner on Friday nights. Mezcal and tequila flights and probably THE BEST fried oysters we ever had. Also amazing homemade corn tortillas. Can't wait to go back!Food: 5/5
I 've been here a couple times and it is fine overall. My complaint is that the customer service here, and at the establishment next door (owned by the same people) is sub par at best. My husband ordered the special an Augachile this was an $18 entrée that ended up being over cooked prawns. Very easy to do and tell if it is over. We brought this up to our wait person and they responded with Oh, no I had it this morning it is fine and supposed to be that way. I 'm sorry but in no world is that the correct response. As they were walking away with the food, mind you. There was no further questions or care expressed and no effort to make it right on their end. Won 't be going to back to this place or any other they own. It 's all over priced and frankly when you are paying $20 for a dish and there is no care involved from them it is a bad experience. Do better!
