What J Neal doesn't like about Smokehouse Grille:
The service was disappointing—slow and lacking attention. We were never offered refills for our water or tea. The baked beans were undercooked and didn’t seem like authentic baked beans. As we left, the hostess and busboy were engrossed in their phones and didn’t even acknowledge us as we passed by. This was around 3 PM on a Saturday, and the place was nearly empty. My husband and I were passing through on our way back to D.C. and we stopped here for a bite to eat. And, OMG the food and service were phenomenal!! Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. Seriously!! Everything was freshly organic and well prepped. I mean I've never tasted a salad like the one I had here! The lettuce was slightly grilled for that awesome smoke taste. GENIUS!!!! In addition to the delicious food and atmosphere, Ms. Katie took very good care of us with kindness and professionalism. Her customer service with a hug and smile was more than enough to have me return and yes we will return. So, if you're in Scottsville stop by The Smokehouse Grille and ask for Ms. Katie. I guarantee she will take care of you.

I have heard a lot of positive things said about this restaurant and I believe that it is very popular among people who value eating local and do not mind paying a high price for such. I have eaten there twice, once a dinner that I thought was acceptable but overpriced, and a second time at a promotional dinner in which the staff gave poor service and the free dinner was again acceptable. I will never go there again.
