Carlsbad Tavern - Scottsdale

We have an appetizer and drink while we waited for a duck to go home. Everything tasted fine/fresh/good, but was not amazed or blown away from anything. The green chili mais queso dip looked like velvet cheese, and honestly the BEST thing they had there was hot sauce on the counter called Chipotle Habanero that we put into the dip and made in 10xs better, with some actual taste. The duck was tasty, but nothing special and the chicken was very hard to cut and chew and we didn't heat it up again when we came home. I ordered the cherry mule and it didn't have much taste, but was it again? The staff and bartender were all very nice. We asked about the groundless mimose on Sat and Sunday and they said it was really busy, so I would probably give them another attempt. Also got the salsas and the green salsa was very delicious!!!

Eating was decent, atmosphere is really sweet. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Our daughter had the Adovada Mac Cheese that was really good. My husband had the veggie enchiladas that had a strange sauce, but he still liked them, they had a good selection of vegetables in them. I had the Adovada Chimi, it was fine, but had no ton of taste. Both plates came with black beans that were pretty good, and Spanish rice that was really dried out. Chips and salsa are an additional fee of $4, not sure whether you refill or not. No hot sauce except the bottle. The salsa with the chips we ordered was ok, the red is a little sweet and zero heat, the green was better with a little spice. Become super hot in New Mexico Chili.

Great experience here. The atmosphere is amazing, the food was really good. It can be busy, but the servers do their best. Very recommended to try the Paradise plate. Veteran is also a company!

I ate in Carlsbad Tavern a month ago. William was our server. He provided us with great service. I had the Enchantment Platter and it tasted great. They have very good new Mexican flavors. You've been in Scottsdale for years. I hope they go on.

The service was the best part! The staff was super friendly, our food was out fast, and our server did a great job. My food was just okay ????? My husband really liked his Prime Rib burrito though! I also had the cucumber mule and it was pretty good but not the best I?ve ever had. The kids likes the bats and the whole cave experience. I?d go again but not at the top of my list.
