Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen - Scottsburg

Went to dine in with my family on a car trip and we were met with a very dirty and gross dining room, poor staff, and overall bad service.The dinning room was very dirty with all of the tables but one being sticky, messy, and overall gross. The floor had a few dead bugs, trash, and spills all over. This was when they were dead inside so there was nobody in the dining room but me and my family.The staff didn't seem very knowledgeable when taking our order, which our order contained no specialty items. Just straight off the menu. We waited for around 30 minutes to get our order for four as they served the ocasial customers in the drive through in basically seconds. When going up to ask to get our order refunded as we an animal in the car, the manager stopped us and said they were bagging our food. She told us the wait was because the chicken takes 15 minutes to cook (which we were there waiting for 30 minutes), but in our waiting time, they handed out many other orders almost instantly.Overall just bad service and a very dirty dining room with dead bugs. The chicken was alright, but the fries and biscuits were stale and cold.

Their hours say they open at 10 on Sunday’s. Drove out of our way and arrived at 11:15. We waited in line behind a few cars before realizing no one showed up to work today. There were no employees there and no signage. Would not recommend this location.

The lobby is closed at 12 pm on a Wednesday based on a hand written note on the door! The drive thru is not wide enough to handle a truck with trailer. Went to door to ask if the order can be taken and accepted by walking up and the male employee told us to ask the female employee who I assume is the manager. She looked at us and completely ignored us and walked away. The rudest experience of 2023!

I arrived with a group of five people, representing three orders. We all stood in line. They took the first order and then proceeded to fill it, involving other people in the kitchen before even entering the other orders. Then, when the first order was complete, the second order was taken. I, alone, was next. Again, the second order was filled before my order was taken, even though I ordered shrimp which have to be made-to-order.While my shrimp were cooking, the people with the first order came back inside (the dining area was freezing) because the chicken they received was coated and fried rather than blackened. The person taking our order began to put the fried chicken back in with the unsold chicken before my companion asked if wasn't it going to be thrown away?There was an ad pasted to the building (legible from inside) for a Shrimp Tackle Box for $6. To that I wanted to add a large drink. The cashier reported that I couldn't get a large drink with the $6 tackle box, because it came with a medium drink. When I received my receipt, I was charged $8.55 and a medium drink: $7.99 plus tax.

What an absolute joke. Stopped here on our way back from Louisville. Waited 15 minutes just to get to the speaker to order. Woman came on and said she would be right us but she had people on breaks, and she apolgized. Fifteen minutes later she came back, apologized again. We proceeded to order the surf and turf boxes, which were on the menu, just to be told they no longer had that item. 30 wasted minutes. Not happy. Left and went to Taco Bell. Had food in less than 3 minutes.
