While some rave about the exceptional curries, generous portions, and attentive service, others have encountered greasy takeaways and missing items. Many patrons praise the flavorful dishes, especially the onion bhajis and diverse vegetarian options, while others lament watery and overly sweet preparations. Overall, the atmosphere earns high marks, making it a pleasant spot for dining in or takeout. With prices ranging from £10 to £20 per person, the restaurant remains a popular choice, though consistency in quality seems to be a concern.
We recently moved to peebles and wanted to try Indian. we were not disappointed by shukria. excellent vegetarian choices, efficient delivery and amazing food. the only small suggestion I would make is to deliver in strong paper carrier bags, because the plastic delivery bag is not recyclable, otherwise it would be 5 stars.
Had taken last night. eating was amazing and got free popadoms and bhaji so delicious best Indian eaten for a long time
We got the chicken corma and its possibly best corma that we had and the service was very good portions, we are also very large very well cooked.
Very nice time of shukria! slightly delayed delivery, but only about 30 minutes and it was worth waiting. large portions, much taste come through, and not at all fat (in contrast to many Indians I tried elsewhere).
The takeaway food we had last night was terrible. The pakora was burnt and black, extremely hot, and impossible to eat. My chicken Malaya was watery, too sweet, and had a small portion of dry tandoori chicken. My husband's chicken curry was swimming in oil. We both suffered from upset stomachs overnight, despite only eating a small amount. We ended up throwing most of it away. Today, we both felt unwell with upset stomachs. Overall, it was a terrible experience and we will never be ordering from there again.
