Anlagencafe - Schwäbisch Hall

Anlagencafe is set in a lovely multi acre garden near the river and away from the city houses. It’s quiet and peaceful, the perfect place to meet some friends for a beer and have a light meal. The tables and chairs are casual and mostly outside so this place is best visited in nice weather. There is a small building with limited seating, a bar, and kitchen. I was there in the recent heat wave with temperatures in the low 30’s C and being outdoors in this vast park was perfect. The menus is basic with hot dogs served with hummus apparently the most popular dish although one of my British friends swears by the fish and chips. Of course there is beer. The evening I ate here there were several families with small children who were free to walk amongst the hedges and play with other children. It’s just a nice place to relax.

In the midst of a huge park along the river Kocher you can sit below the tree. Watch the kids playing with sand and water, see the families and hipster passing by on their bike or wearing sandals while you have a cold beer. Its also nice the have lunch or supper here. If you are alone and just need a break or if you come with all your friends there are places and tables in all size which fit your current need.

Even though Schwäbisch Hall is not the buzziest city, one might wish to escape the crowds for a moment. The Anlagencafe is such a place, at the end of the gardens next to the river Jagst a 10 to 15 minutes from the city. Opening at 14:00 its open until night and at least in the afternoon visited mainly by locals with their small children. They can play with the water while parents can enjoy their cafe, lemonade of bier. Some small dishes such as Flammkuchen for those that want to something to eat.

We only thought of drinks on a beautiful summer day after the walk through the park along the river, so I don't have a comprehensive review.

Das Anlagencafe ist ein schöner Biergarten in toller Atmosphäre .Der Service kann tw. etwas zügiger sein, aber freundlich. Die selber gemachten Kuchen sind sehr gut.
