What Irene X doesn't like about Taste Of Rome:
I was charged twice when I paid with my credit card at the cashier. The cashier lady was very unfriendly and seemed dishonest. I asked her Why do I need to re-swipe my credit card? She said it didn 't go through. I checked my CC statements, I was charged twice. I called them and explained the issue, no one called me back. A guy who received my call told me to call back and ask for Shawn, but I haven 't been able to g... View all feedback.
This is our favorite place whenever we head to Sausalito. They have the best seafood risotto , hands down! Also you can find the best tiramisu in the world of desserts. This place is popular , table setting is kind of crowded inside . Pet friendly and plenty of seats out door. I can tell everybody loves their food.
My husband had to straight up perform CPR on me when we started eating because one bite into the tiramisu, I died and went to Heaven. Heaven was interesting. All of the angels there wore Taste of Rome tee shirts and sat around drinking Taste of Rome cappuccinos (which were, admittedly, quite heavenly). When I told the angels how I ended up dead, they nodded understandingly and several admitted they, too, also died and went to Heaven after one bite of the tiramisu. One passed after a bite of the cheesy garlic bread. It 's a good thing we live 1.5 hours away, otherwise I 'd be here every day depleting their tiramisu supply. There can 't possibly be a better one ANYWHERE.
This restaurant combines the vibes of a coffeehouse and an Italian eatery. I appreciate the diverse menu offerings such as pizza, pasta, sandwiches, breakfast options, beer, wine and coffee drinks. The atmosphere feels more like a coffeehouse to me, creating a cozy and homely ambiance. I typically visit for their delicious coffee drinks served in mugs. The clientele seems to consist mostly of older regulars rather than tourists, likely due to its slightly secluded location. Parking is available in the back at the yacht parking lot, but both the lot and street parking require payment.
I was in the neighborhood and always walked past Taste of Rome. I was craving lasagna and decided to finally give this place a shot. The lasagna portion was generous and the flavors were simple but satisfying. It came with a side of garlic bread. Make sure to try the tiramisu - it was delicious! The other desserts on display also looked tempting. The restaurant had around ten tables inside and was showing an NBA game on a big screen. The service was efficient - you place your order and pay at the bar, then the kitchen staff brings your food to your table. I can't wait to try more of their desserts next time!
This place is great! We sat outside with our dog, and all the servers were very nice. The food was all delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals. We all got dessert which was incredible, especially the tiramisu.
