the experience was excellent, service was amazing and you really felt you are a desirable guest. great food and fabulous presentation. the garden is heaven! on the less exciting side, they charge you for the water (let alone any other beverage) and this was a bit stingy. also the jump in the menue is very steep, from 70 to 150 and something Euros, if i am not mistaken, so you don't have a real option. all in all met... We have been there several times last century with the 'Maître ' Bernard Loiseau, a great experience each time. The current cooker is good, but obviously not at the level of BL, so it was a bit disappointing. It is a pity, because the house and spa are beautiful.
The menu has many enticingly composed dishes. The actuality was a little disappointing. Though everything was perfectly cooked, the tastes varied from bland to sweet to odd. Sometimes there was a particular part of a dish that was fabulous but the dish as a whole did not cohere. Service was excellent and thoughtful. The ambiance is restrained and pleasant.
