This hotel is wonderful! The lobby is charming and the rooms are the same. They are extremely comfortable and spacious. The chef is incredible and the food is amazing down to the tiny details, like homemade butter mints at the front desk! The location is fantastic--it is a short walk to downtown. I cannot wait to come back! View all feedback.

The inn is beautiful has a lot of history. Love the old furnishings 4 poster bed. But…. The place needs to be maintained. The wallpaper is rippling falling down. Most of the wall sockets didn’t work as they were loose falling out of the wall. The plugs would not stay in the sockets. The lamps didn’t turn on. The drapes are so old not working properly so the sunlight was shinning bright in your room at dawn. Also, the... View all feedback.
We stayed here the night of our wedding and came back for our 2 year anniversary for dinner. The staff is great, the environment is relaxing and welcoming. I highly recommend that you check it out.Rooms: 5/5
Charming Victorian Inn is located in the heart of Saratoga Springs, New York. The hotel has been around since 1836 and has a lot of character.I stayed in the standard double bed room. The room was spacious. It had a traditional Victorian feel with some modern upgrades.Beware, very little outlets, and the fixtures, especially the bathroom, are a bit older and may not operate as modern hotels. The front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Couldn't have asked for better service! The hotel also has a number of amenities, including free Wi-Fi. Other reviews state complimentary breakfast, but breakfast was $10 per person during our stay.I would also note that it is not a good location for crawling infants. The rooms are spacious but not baby proof. We had peeling wallpaper in our room.Overall, The Inn at Saratoga is a great place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing and historic getaway. The hotel is located just steps from the Saratoga Race Course and walking distance to a number of other attractions. Note: Make reservations for restaurants in the area. The best ones get booked up pretty quickly.

Most of the wall sockets didn’t work as they were loose falling out of the wall. The plugs would not stay in the sockets. The lamps didn’t turn on. The drapes are so old not working properly so the sunlight was shinning bright in your room at dawn. Also, the air conditions (2 of them) in our room were in the walls, which is fine except when you close the curtains at night. The air conditioners are behind the curtains so it gets hot in the room. You have to close the curtains or everyone can look in. Also, the cottages are a NIGHTMARE. Too many things wrong to list. DONT stay in the cottages!!!!!!
Trying to keep it positive ...great location, in walking distance to the main street where there loads of cute little shops. The front desk staff were very welcoming and pleasant. And then we went to our cottage. I get it. It's an old historic inn but it needs a lot of love. The exterior of the cottage was beat. The entry to our cottage was not exactly welcoming. Worn painted steps, dirty chipped paint on the front door, a door knob that was in serious need of repair. Once inside the first view is an open storage closet. Our suite was very spacious but the mix of old furniture (can't say antiques because they were in rough shape) and newer amentities just didn't work. The mini-fridge had a freezer that was so iced up you couldn't close the door. The dust was in every corner. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast (which used to be included) was $10/person. The free breakfast at the Hampton is far better. The scrambled eggs were hard and barely warm, potatoes were mushy, and the bacon overcrisp greasy. Seriously for the price of the room I expected much better. This place could /should be a gem but it doesn't seem to have the attention and care that it needs.
