The Ritz-carlton, Sarasota

I found the hotel noisy and chaotic, I stay at many of the Ritz properties globally and I am always let down by the USA locations. For some specifics: I hate with a passion tub and shower combos. It always feels very trailer park. The shower has shower gel (positive) but no wash rags. How do people here was their body? The club lounge was full of people grazing and drinking way too much and a lot of kids. The idea of self serve wine machines should tell you the purpose. If I wanted to serve myself wine, I’d stay home and even then I’d not use a wine vending machine. The pool: service is spotty but friendly. For 3 days there was a DJ who started off ok but every time devolved into profane laced hip hop. Call me old fashioned but kids should not be exposed to rap using profanity and the N word. The food throughout the property was uninspired. The staff at the front desk and spa seem to fall into the wrong idea that class is equal to cold and clinical. The shuttle to the beach club ran on time so top marks for that. This location does not come close to the properties in Vienna or Shanghai or even Mexico.

I share a lot of my reviews online because I feel like it’s a proper thing to do this place has extraordinary service was impeccable. It’s everything you want in a five star. The only thing I would say that’s a miss is the spa where they want to charge you to use their steam room and sauna really feel like that’s a little bit out of context for the money you pay to stay there You should not have to pay for a sauna or a steam room. It just makes you feel like you’re trying to make more money off of people when you already have a winning situation.

The worst experience ever we had! We been placed right directly above kitchen exhaust and didn’t sleep till 400am. Simply sharing my experience be careful where you been placed and sad part that 5 star hotel can’t even resolve our worst experience.

We had booked the hotel for our trip to the USA but were undecided 3 weeks before we started. According to the conditions we were supposed to be able to cancel free of charge, which we did. A few days later we were charged a whopping 500 on our credit card and no one can reach us anymore! Impudence from such a star hotel..

The service was exceptional, and the staff made you feel welcome. I had beautiful view of the bay, boats. We also where able watch boats come and go from the poolside.
