This restaurant serves a lovely breakfast with exceptional service! The fresh-squeezed orange juice is a must-try. My meal was delightful and the presentation of all dishes coming out of the kitchen was truly appetizing. Just a heads up... the pancakes are enormous! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Original Egg:
Unfortunately, the initial experience at this restaurant was terrible. We were a large group and had two tables pushed together. Suddenly, the owner came out and claimed ownership of not only the tables but also the chairs, exclaiming, "I own this table and this table and this chair and this chair and this chair and this chair...!!!" Needless to say, we were shocked. We waited for our waitress to take our order, but... View all feedback.
Excellent service, large selection on menu and huge pancakes. could not give the 5th star because eating did not come as hot as expected. we had just beaten the crowd on Sunday morning and sat immediately. 10 minutes later and there was a waiting list. if they are a large portion nice person, other than the pancakes, they can be disappointed, but reasonably priced for the serving.
Delicious breakfast! We had skillets and a pancake. The pancake was perfect. The skillets were both great. What was really good were the cheesy hash browns on the bottom of the skillet, yum.Good coffee and great service even though it was packed.
Amazing sweet dishes, delicious gravy. The pancake was well reviewed but personally tasted a bit average. The cookie butter French toast however, great balance of crisp and soft and has heavy whipped cream on the side. We had a wonderful waitress, Melanie, as well, who was attentive and took care of us when we were all surprised at the missing chorizo from our skillet. The atmosphere is very homey and welcoming with local artwork on the walls even available for purchase.
Brianna'a Cookie Butter French Toast: that was amazing. Must eat.Brandon’s Fiesta Skillet: Delicious. It didn't have chorizo as advertised, and when we told our server she checked with the kitchen and was evidently also surprised to learn they were out. She gave us a slight discount for that.Biscuit with gravy: That gravy was amazing, we wound up taking some home.Jerry's Blue Banana Pancake: Looks amazing with that massive size, I've never seen a pancake with that large a circumference. Tasted typical. Our server Melanie was great, attentive, friendly, and generous in letting us take home coffee (it was nearly closing time and she said it would have been poured out otherwise).
Decided to grab brunch here on New Years Eve to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant was busy, as expected since it’s a holiday and people want to go grab delicious food. Our server was wonderful and made sure our cups were always full. We were close to the kitchen and it was clear that everyone was working hard and as fast as possible. The food was delicious as always and even though the wait time was a little bit longer than expected, we were patient as staff shortages are very much an issue right now. The manager came over to apologize for the wait time as well. We will absolutely be returning again and enjoy the food and fresh squeezed orange juice.
