Sushi Bar DPNY - São Sebastião

After eating 3 times here during my holiday, I have can confirm the restaurant cannot handle simple requests when it comes to the steak and mushroom sauce dish. The word sauce to me indicates an element of liquid will be served to the customer with mushrooms. After receiving a cremated steak the first night without liquid to moisten the potatoes. I specially requested the mushrooms in Madeira sauce, actually came with liquid Madeira sauce. It would be impossible to be more clear in the request. Unfortunately the waiter brought the dish with the usual mushrooms lacking any liquid. I had to make another request for the liquid, as my steak went cold. When it eventually arrived it was delicious, but the food had gone cold.

The restaurant is located on a nice beach and the view is pretty. Service absolutely terrible and I even do not mean lack of any understanding of English. The waiter took order from myself only and was surprised when my other colleagues wanted to order some food as well.. Then not all food arrived.. The food was tasteless and very greasy. OK place for a drink but NEVER for a meal!

Great service, food, wine selection, with a very beautiful atmosphere. Staff is extremely accommodating and pleasant. Will certainly return with a smile =)

As a party of 5 staying at DPNY, we ate at the restaurant five times and in general the food was good. But the service was lacking in skill, etiquette, and manners.However, they managed to remember to give me, the only English speaker, a menu in English every time.

Food tends to be overpriced for what the restaurant delivers. Worth trying if you want a romantic dinner or dine with friends.
