Liguria - Santuario

The five star reviews amaze me. We were in Poblado on a Wednesday night and looking for pizza. We were the only people in the restaurant when we walked in. Initially we were ignored save for a member of the kitchen staff coming to the kitchen door and closing it. Eventually a hostess attended to us. We ordered a couple of pizzas, mine the four cheeses. I waited in expectation for the bubbling cheese topping. After all at the back they had what seemed like an excellent wood fired pizza oven. What arrived on the table was a passable tomato pizza base but with the cheese sitting in pieces on the top. My wife 's 'salami ' pizza was the same; reasonable base with part cooked toppings. The menu here is long, to my mind rather too long for the size of the establishment. Maybe the 'b ' team were in that night, perhaps the lack of customers meant that the oven had not been heated to the right temperature. Whatever this was not a repeat experience. Two pizzas, a focaccia bread, couple of beers, one juice, one coffee and the tab, with service, came in just under COP 120,000. Not a repeat experience and a million miles from 5 stars

Every time we come to Medellin we visit Liguria for their wonderful food. This year we were so disappointed to get there only to discover they closed!!!! where did you go?????

Twice I had (take away) pizza here. I had the 'De los Alpes pizza ' and it was honestly one of the best pizzas I 've ever had (And I 've had a lot). The service was friendly and quick. (Can 't comment much more as I had take away).

We were walking around the Zona Rosa and found this place by accident. We were so surprised to taste an incredible focaccia di recco and the bagna cauda was fantastic. My husand felt he was at home in Genova! Service friendly and helpful and the prices very good. Would highly recommend this great authentican italian spot for couples or families.

Excellent proscuitto pizza and nice service. Also a good glas of house white wine. Worth going to. It is in pleasant neighbourhood as well.
