A hole in the wall full of locals and which served delicious and affordable Galician seafood. Perfect first lunch right after arriving in Santiago de Compostela post-camino! It could get a bit noisy, and the line for seating could get long, but definitely worth it! The pulpo, mussels, and cockles were fresh and yummy. View all feedback.
What JonathanW3493 doesn't like about O Gato Negro:
Good service, good location for the Church. The food was ok. A plate of boiled shrimp and a piece of sardine pie, with water was 25 Euros. This is strictly snack type food to have with wine or beer. Not really a meal...I think 25 Euros is high for not a meal . I am not sure why people would mark this cheap eats . View all feedback.
Yesterday we dine in this restaurant, a hidden jewel of santiago, we ate several empanadillas , dirty sepia (with ink) and good wine a delight there is to visit it
When we came in and saw the site, we didn't expect anything special because of its appearance: lighting, paper tablecloths... but we were very surprised. excellent seafood and very fresh and the rest of the very good food, very good service.
