Ike's - Santa Rosa

Ike's in Santa Rosa now offers vegan soft serve ice cream, available during the hot summer months for $3.99. Today's flavor is pineapple, with future flavors including mango, chocolate, vanilla, and cherry once the supply chain is sorted out. My pineapple flavor tasted more like sorbet than soft serve, but the server was generous and gave me a large portion - so much that I had to save some for next time by freezing it. The machine never contained dairy, as it is difficult to clean out. The restaurant is busy with students purchasing $15 sandwiches. Currently, for a limited time of a month or so, you can substitute vegan steak (Nesoya) for any meat at no extra charge, and you can also substitute vegan cheese for free. (The standard tip at a few fast food places is now 18%).

The staff at this restaurant is incredibly helpful, and I am absolutely hooked on their vegan sandwiches. My favorite choices are the Handsome Owl, James and the Giant Peach, Meatless Mike, and Tomy Brady. Each sandwich also comes with a complimentary lollipop. The prices range from $8 to $13 plus tax, depending on the sandwich. I highly suggest trying the Dutch bread, which is always my go-to choice. It's important to note that all sandwiches come with lettuce, tomato, and pepperoncinis, unless you specify otherwise. I believe they also have onions, but I may have forgotten. Overall, I love this place and recommend it to others.

This restaurant offers tasty vegan options that I enjoyed! On my first visit, I tried the Purple Bee sandwich with vegan cheese instead of regular cheese. I later found out that the veggie bacon used in this sandwich contains egg, which I did not know at the time. On my second visit, I ordered the Blind Date sandwich completely vegan. I called in my order this time to ensure it was vegan, as some sandwiches with vegan meats come with regular cheese and non-vegan sauces. Just remember to substitute those ingredients if needed.

The best sandwiches in Santa Rosa, no question. However, the service is quite slow. Be prepared to wait around 10 minutes after ordering before your sandwich is ready. Despite this, it is definitely worth the wait.

I give it a perfect 5 out of 5 rating. The Halal sandwich is shown in the picture below. It was fantastic and I highly suggest trying it. Be sure to order it with crispy bread.
