We went to dinner on Friday night. The food was delicious, especially the classic dosa. The Spicing for Sambal and Chutney was very good. When we arrived, the service was a little frosty, once sitting, the service was good and the staff friendly. Hopefully back soon. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tumbi Craft Indian Kitchen:
The Masala dosa was decent and the chicken malai tikka was tasteful. The stars are less because of the waiter staff, they are rude or perhaps not know how to deal with customers (they come out as unpolished). Otherwise, a cute place and decently expensive food! View all feedback.
Just 5 minutes from Santa Monica Pier, tumor is a very cool mood. Ngl, it was more imagination than I took it. We tried the bhelpuri, cheese dosa and channa batura. Everything tasted good. I say it wasn't extraordinary, but definitely a good meal. The ambience in the restaurant was beautiful and looked very clean and well lit. The waitresses were attentive and helpful. I'd think it's a quick bite. Question 8/10. TIL : tumbi is a Punjabi string instrument.
Good food but bad service. Waited full 15/20 mins before someone took our order. Also, preference was given to a bigger group and other customers but not to us.
Hello. We booked table for four, that's not my personal, but 4 of us. Food wasn't really at the top. Naan we ordered were not perfectly cooked. Non-veg dishes especially Kashmiri Rogan Josh was black in the color when we asked for replacement waiters with mustache, the cook already answered. Probably the first restaurant in LA we?re I paid bill with 20% service fee. Although we respect the food? from any source, just want to share our bad experience.

Hands-down the best Indian food in LA for me! Appetizers: Panipuris were crisp, fresh and the pani was just the right amount of tangy! The wada pav was soft, crunchy and the idle fries are a stroke of genius. The avocado bhelpuri are pretty dope! Never knew avocados would go that well with that spice palette. Main course: The butter chicken is so good and so rich! We ordered it twice! The laccha parattha and the garlic naan compliment the dishes really well! Dessert: Kulfi: they have malai, pistachio and mango flavors! So smooth, so rich and a good portion size The deconstructed carrot halwa: probably haven?t had dessert that good in a while. They serve it with ice cream and granola which gels so well with the halwa! 10/10- would come again ?
