I was initially afraid that this place could be one of the tourist traps, but I was subtly surprised to find out that their seafood spaghetti tasted better than average. Mussels and shrimps were fresh and although the sauce was a bit watery, the spaghetti noodles were okay. If you're looking for a decent Italian food within a walking distance from the beach, this place might be a good selection. View all feedback.
Impersonal and Slovenian. mediocre food quality. the overall quality of food and services has decreased significantly in the last 3 years. this was our favorite restaurant on the santa monica 3rd-street promenade. we have been going to this Italian restaurant for 15 years. this trip was so bad that we? re convinced never to go back. I'm not a cook or even a good cook. it is very hard to melt Alfredo sauce, but this restaurant served it bred and overcooked. it was absolutely terrible. I cook it much better to house. the server was irresponsible and unfriendly. Unfortunately, we will not return to this now mediocre restaurant with our past memories of special family dinners. there are so many wonderful restaurants on the promenade and in the santa monica center, they have several possibilities. try another restaurant!
The airy atmosphere, combined with warm service and extensive menu, even the most finicky of the eaters offers the opportunity to enjoy themselves if only they try. I recommend half-portions of Pasta to exand the bouquet of options on your table and above all, convey your needs and you will find the staff knowledgeable and receptive. Enjoy!

While the food and service at Trastevere may not have been exceptional, the restaurant itself is worth a visit. The location, architecture, and atmosphere are unique, offering a chance to people-watch on Third Street Promenade from the patio. My friend and I tried the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, which was decent but not outstanding. Despite its popularity and crowded nature, perhaps opting for more adventurous menu selections would have made for a better dining experience at Trastevere.
Location, location, location. That’s about all this place has however. It’s right on the 3rd street Promenade and thus draws a great crowd but I do believe that after they eat here they wouldn’t go back. I certainly won’t. There is a large dining area, outdoor seating and the place is attractive. However, they tend to place the tables almost on top of each other to get as much bang for the buck and it’s just uncomfortable and unnecessary. The service was mediocre to bad and the pasta was below average. Very forgettable.
