Delish! I love a good apple crumb slice and have had a hard time finding a readily available slice. Luckily they are in my local Gelsons! Pie is super fresh and great quality. My only nit is it's not cinnamon-y enough for my taste, but that is easy to add to the the top. Looking forward to trying more varieties. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Pie Hole:
I was extremely disappointed when the Pie Hole location on Lincoln and Rose closed, so you can imagine my excitement when I discovered their new location in Gelson's just a few blocks away! Those who are unfamiliar with Pie Hole should definitely stop by and try one of their delicious offerings. Their cakes are some of the best in Los Angeles in my opinion. View all feedback.

PHENOMENAL PIES I had no idea there was a Pie Hole tucked inside the Gelson's in Santa Monica until I won one of their incredible Whole Heart of Gold $45) pies on Instagram. Recently, I had been to a Yelp event at their Arts District location, and I noticed this intriguing option on the menu. Unfortunately, it wasn't available until a few days before Valentine's Day, so I was disappointed that I didn't get to try it. Well, it was worth the wait! OMG. This rare champagne raspberry cream cheese mousse on a graham crust, topped with gold dusted raspberries blew me away! Normally, cookies are my dessert of choice, but this incredible pie is my new favorite. Don't miss it next time they offer it! The taste will leave you pie-eyed.
If you know me, you know I am obsessed with Pie Hole. There was a point I visited the Arts District location every few days not the smartest or healthiest decision on my part but still well worth it. I visited this location for the first time to pick up a Honey Custard Pie, and didn't realize it was inside a Gelson's! So cute and convenient. This grocery store is by far one of the nicest I have visited in a long time, so it's very fitting that there's a Pie Hole stationed here. They have lots of packed grab and go offerings like various slices and their pie holes, but I can't imagine they're as fresh as the ones made at their busier shop locations, especially since many are pre packaged. But I can tell you with confidence that the Honey Custard Pie did not disappoint! I think this location is pretty new, so it seemed fairly empty on a Saturday afternoon, but I can imagine that this shop might gain traction soon.
Begun in Los Angeles’ Arts District in 2011, the mother and son team of Becky Grasley and Matt Heffner now taking a backseat to CEO Sean Brennan as the band continues to grow, New Year’s Eve found business booming at The Pie Hole in Gelson’s Market just past 3:00pm.Officially “The Pie Hole Artisan Bakery Gelson’s Market,” baking from scratch daily from open until close, it is amongst the usual trappings of an upscale grocery store that guests will find a well-stocked counter, including many items not offered elsewhere.Available for take-out, delivery or dine-in, a small wine bar with televisions adjacent bottles of Champagne, it was skipping savories that a warm Turnover started things off with juicy Cherries inside Puff Pastry before moving on to Salted Caramel Pecan Pie that could have benefitted from more Nuts to offset an abundance of near-liquid Caramel.$6.75 to 7.50 per slice, billed as “happiness one slice at a time,” Chocolate Brownie Pie eats a lot like Southern Chess with its decadence augmented by housemade Whipped Cream while a cheaper square of Birthday Cake is moist yet toothsome and expectedly quite sweet.
Clean tables and tasty food. Proper meaty fillings and very good customer service. Intimate setting with a great atmosphere.
