Recently brought my 16 year old daughter here and bragged about how good this place is and how I used to come here in my 20 's! She told me Dad I hope it is good because you talked it up Happy to say she really enjoyed it. Was in Venice again today, and this is becoming my Westside stop when I am on this side of town. NEVER disappoints soooo good! A must try 100 View all feedback.
What Rob R doesn't like about Hungry Pocket Falafel House:
Hit or miss. Food is good, but service can be good or not. I was just there and they chased me out because it was closing in 20 minutes. Which they didn't tell me until after I paid and tipped. Also, did not seem to know their menu well as I wanted to try the lamb. View all feedback.
Very good food, excellent people.Very polite to their patrons!Vegetarian options: So sorry, meat eater I.Kid-friendliness: I just always see kids in there.Parking: Maybe a little difficult at noon.
Falafels were pretty good 4/5)Baba ganoush hummous were amazing 5/5)Food is very good, but the portion sizes are small. If you buy a “deluxe falafel plate” $16) you only get 3 falafels. And no rice. So it’s not very filling to be honest. I suggest they give 4 falafels in the luxury plate. But if you don’t have a large appetite, then it’s a good choice. Otherwise, you leave with a hungry stomach.
The best falafel sandwich, with a unique and delicious hot sauce. I have been coming here for lunch over 10 years and the quality has not dropped at all. The man who owns the place is so kind and his employees are as well. A gem of Santa Monica.Vegetarian options: High quality falafel.Dietary restrictions: Falafel is gluten free (not always the case in med restaurants)
I grew up eating here as my grandfather used to come here all the time for their falafels! I love them. Super yummy and nostalgic for me and just a solid little spot for a falafel pick me up! I miss them a lot since moving out of LA.
