One of the very few Indian Fine Dining joints in the Bay Area. The ambience is very bright and sets the celebrations mood right as you step in. All the items are not that great, however the Murg Survedaar and the Peshawari Naan are not to be missed. Their best item is the Lalla Mussa Daal THE BEST I HAD IN THE STATES TILL DATE… Gulab Jamun with Gulkand is something to end your dinner with. Approx. $70 $100 for a part... View all feedback.
Sanjeev Kapoor, an iconic chef in India, was a favorite of mine growing up as I watched his show on Sundays. Naturally, I had to try the food at his restaurant. My experience dining here on a weekday dinner was lovely. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, with a separate bar and dining area. Our waiter guided us through the popular items on the menu and we loved all of his suggestions! The manchow soup was soothing on a winter evening and the chicken tikka was soft and delicious. However, the hara paneer tikka didn't quite meet our expectations. A standout dish was the plum kofta curry with its creamy gravy and mouthwatering koftas. The kulfi for dessert was superb, although the gulabjamun was too sweet for my liking. While the restaurant may be on the pricier side for Indian food, the quality and fine dining experience make it worth it.
Without a doubt, this restaurant serves some of the best chicken curry (Puran Singh Da Chicken) and achari gosht (Lamb) in the Bay Area. The non-veg platter was also excellent. Be sure to try this place for authentic North Indian flavors.
The food was fantastic, but the service was lacking. Our party of seven did not receive much attention, and the food came out very slowly. The last dish arrived an hour after we placed our order, so we had to leave before finishing our meal. Despite the slow service, I would still consider returning in the future.
Had to try out food at this restaurant as a big fan of India’s Masterchef Sanjeev Kapoor. The food we tried out was really good. The madras fish curry was great but we wanted a little more spice to it. Overall great food, amazing staff too.
Delicious food , proper portions , but the service is quite slow. It took lot of time for us , to find someone for order and get food to the table. Murgh Angaar Bedgi is a must try. !
