What Lambo Perkins doesn't like about One Pico:
Would like to give this place another chance sometime. We went with the waiters recommendation for Paella and it was not good. It was dried out and lukewarm, almost as if it had been sitting for a while. They were busy and he didn 't come back for a bit so we rolled with it. The other meals were 'ok ' but we don 't think this was their best showing. View all feedback.
Everything was perfect except the scallops were something about cooked and too salty and you only have four of them for $40, so I should be perfect. However, Wagyu beef, kale, Caesar salad, Hamachi, crudo, short rib, pasta, and wine. It's delicious. Service was thought out and also perfect. The restaurant is beautiful and they let us take our time. This is our current favorite restaurant in LA. Too bad about the scallops.
I had an incredible time at the restaurant. I enjoyed everything! The food was delicious, although a bit pricey.
The food was fantastic! However, the hostess gave us a very undesirable table. Despite empty seats near the window, they refused to seat us there because we were only a party of two. After waiting for half an hour, they eventually seated two other pairs at those window tables. I had made a reservation in advance and even confirmed the window seating with them the day before. This was a special occasion for my friend and I and we were extremely disappointed with the service.
Had a nice time. The decor and view are beautiful; and service is friendly and attentive. The food isn't super memorable but it's good.
We have enjoyed dining at 1 Pico many times in the past but things have seriously deteriorated while the prices have just gone up. We ordered the mushroom soup starter which was fine but not worth $20. The main courses were fine but boring. Just plain grilled food without any imagination. I ordered the chicken and my husband ordered a fish. My chicken was a bit over cooked so that the white meat was dry. My husbands fish was too salty. Apparently they use salt freely but nothing else. I could have cooked this meal myself for one tenth the price. Another thing to note is that the meals do not come with any vegetables so you might as well add $14 to the cost of your main course. This is a deceptive way to charge more for a main course. Also, the side was so poor that we had to send it back twice! Ultimately we did not get any vegetables. Another weird thing is that the restaurant was almost empty and yet they sat us at a tiny table for 2 in a lousy location. Why not seat us in a better spot when there is no other reservations. Very poor. Overall, we will never go back. Absolute waste of maintenance and time.
