The restaurant was so sweet! Parking was limited, location was wonderful to watch the sunset. I had the Caesar salad with the fish specialist who was sold as a solid white fish. However, it was not what I expected very strong fish smell the texture of Tilapia. For $70 tip I was very disappointed about the choice I made for a special dinner. Next time, get the NY Strip my friend ordered. It was wonderful. View all feedback.
Outstanding service, entertaining atmosphere, great meal with excellent options to choose from. I ate at Mad Hatters 30 years ago and remembered that it was a special place to din. The restaurant is quite small but located directly on the beach. While we thoroughly enjoyed the food, the service made the experience five stars. Definitely a good choice in Sanibel/Captiva.

My wife and I enjoyed our 17. Anniversary here last night. The ambience is wonderful. You will get a few of the ocean and if you time your visit right you will see beautiful sunset colors or the sunset yourself. My wife loved the garlic plate appetizer and I fell in love with the goat cheese pillow. She had the scallops with a side of Risotto and I had the duck breast (only medium rare! . The dessert was fantastic. It made our anniversary unforgettable. Laurie was a fantastic server and the gentleman who helped us restore my camera lens cap behind the bank went out! Scream to the chefs and chefs that lead this place.
One of the best meals I've ever had! Black grouper was melt in your mouth! Short ribs were amazing! Service was excellent! Kitchen timing was perfect! Coffee came in an individual French press, which was delicious!
