The Dublin Pub - Sangamon

Seems to be a very popular place. Service was excellent, ambiance good, in general. Food the food is ok, portions are plentiful. I just don 't understand the flavor/quality of the food as compared to how busy they are. The food was nothing exceptional to warrant my return. This is the 2nd time we ate there; we wanted to make certain our first experience wasn 't just on an 'off day. '

I’m not even exaggerating when I say these were the best fried pickles I’ve ever had. They were not only huge in circumference, but they were thickly cut, and lightly fried, so it was the perfect amount of pickle and fried dough. With that being said, the food itself was delicious, and I’m glad I got to try an Illinois walleye. The pot roast was a lot of food, and delicious. Gotta try The Dublin Pub!

Our server was overheard talking about how “colored” people don’t tip. Gave us bad looks and even worse service. Seemed too busy flirting with every female in there. Skinny one ear ring boy Vegetarian options: None Dietary restrictions: Good luck couldn’t tell us if the mash potatoes had butter. Because he don’t watch them make it.

Our first time there, on recommendation of our Grandson. Delicious food and great service.
