What Branden T doesn't like about 46 Entertainment:
As with a few of the other posts the service was hardly adequate. She was unaware of the beer selection or what was on tap. I ordered the smoked Wing appetizer they were very well smoked however the skin was not crisp or firm it was quite fatty. I went with the brisket with sweet potato fries and mac and cheese the brisket was very well cooked great flavor and texture in only needed small amounts of BBQ sauce to make... View all feedback.
Amazing how only after a shot time once again this place is closed. As far as the way the place looks on a daily basis is it always looks closed even when it's open. They have a really nice gate all the way around the place. The entrance off of SR46 has always been closed off. So in other words it always looks closed. The gate needs to be completely removed around the entire property. Sure from the street it looks nice but it also looks closed no matter what they do. The only way this business will ever be able to come back and be successful is if they scrapped the menu and start fresh. This is in the perfect location for all kinds of venues, car shows motorcycle events, weddings and so many other things. If I ever had the chance I would really enjoy getting in there reworking the management hiring an amazing staff and turning this Restaurant Entertainment Complex into what it should be instead of just another closed business in Sanford. A lot of changes need to be made for sure. Take the gate down or at least open the from up so people know your open. Tons of advertising and a completely new menu. That's just a start. This really could be a win, win in the area but it will take time and money to make it happen. Then again a closed business like this is a huge tax write-off due to such a loss. Just think of how much it costs for lawn maintenance, security on site 24/7, power and water bills. Nothing this nice can be left the way it is unless there is a second reason for it. Sad to see this place closed. I only hope one day someone will make it into what it really could be. The area is growing and now is the perfect time to be growing a business. Then again it's still work millions is losses at the end of the year.
This is our fifth time here. Great pulled pork and brisket. The last two times we order the 3lbs sampler which has some ribs, wings, Brisket, Pulled pork, Smoked turkey. We held the turkey and asked for more brisket and pulled pork. You get three sides, good sweet potato fries, baked beans and more. Choice of corn bread or garlic toast. Wife hadn't been, so she got experience some good Brisket. Today was all Brisket and sweet potato fries. Really good highly recommend you stop by and enjoy some.

I never visited the Route 46 Entertainment District when it was open previously, but had always been intrigued by the buildings when passing them by. Now that the Smokehouse is open for business I figured we would give it a go, but I didn 't have a very memorable experience. The focus of a lot of our most recent food adventures has been BBQ joints, and none have succeed in impressing me yet, Route 46 Smokehouse included. When we entered the building we weren 't sure where to go, but after a minute or two a waitress told us that we could seat ourselves. She brought us menus and took our drink orders, and returned a few minutes later and took our order for food. The service was good for such a busy night, but the food took a long while to come out, and our server didn 't really offer any updates on how long it was going to be or apologize for the wait. When our food finally did come, we were all pretty underwhelmed with the selection. Ordering the smoked meatloaf, the brisket and the ribs, none of my party 's meat really had a good smoked flavor. The meatloaf tasted like a frozen meal from the supermarket, and the brisket had a lot of fat on it. The ribs were better than the other two meat selections, but they weren 't anything to write home about, either. For the most part we enjoyed the sides: the baked beans were sweet, the sweet potato fries were crispy and the cornbread was moist, but I found the mac and cheese sauce to be a bit gritty. We also had the apple crumble for dessert, which no one in my party really enjoyed. It had an overpowering cinnamon taste, and the crust crumble part was caked together and hard as a rock. You really needed to use the handle on the bowl to brace it while you dug out those parts. Overall I really enjoyed the decor and atmosphere that Route 46 Smokehouse provided, but unless the food gets significantly better I don 't see myself returning in the near future.
