Probably the best katsu curry we’ve ever had.. a little more chicken would be fab but apart from that absolutely delicious.. first time ordering from chop and wok and will definitely be coming back for more... FABULOUS View all feedback.
What Mark S doesn't like about Chop Wok:
I love the look of the menu, unfortunately southern fried chicken was just grilled chicken and Thai curry didn’t really resemble one, katsu curry was a bit like gravy, add to this lots of salt. The prawn crackers were good though View all feedback.
Avoid this restaurant at all costs. The staff are incredibly rude and consistently get orders wrong. It's surprising to see a business like this still in operation.
The food was of a poor standard. It has little flavour, the meat was dry, the vegetables were soggy. I asked for a spicy sauce but there was no spice in the dish whatsoever. Smaller portions than average for a takeaway. Over priced. Not recommended.
The food, irrespective of the preparation tasted the same. Same sauce. Under eats delivered. The soup has leaked as lid was not closed properly and spilled. Expensive food compared to proper Chinese takeaways First and last time from this place!!!
Do not order from Chop and Wok (Quinton, Birmingham). I ordered food at 18:30 and at 21:30 got a call saying it was being delivered. During this time we called multiple (over 20) times but couldn't get through. When we did get through we tried to cancel our order but they hung up on us. At 21:30 we finally got a call from the delivery driver saying they were outside. We obviously sent them back because we didn't want the food (we had gone to somewhere else for food)! I just hope the driver didn't get in trouble for what is obviously a problem at the restaurant.
In all honesty, the food was definitely worth the price. The portions were generous and the flavors were outstanding! I will definitely be ordering again soon. Cheers!
