Barchetta - Sandbach

Homey restaurant with comfort eating! although we were a large group of 10, the service was moderate and we received our food very quickly at ordering. the vegetarian risotto I had was lovely and in portions was ugly! a beautiful place for a group of friends or family.

We have only dived for a drink and use the loo during a walk; but the personal was beautiful and the restaurant is beautifully presented. fortunately we will be back to taste the food.

Liked the retro booth seating and couldn't fault the food, portion sizes or speed of service. However, it could do with a bit of tlc as quite dusty and cobwebby and floor grubby. Also, I can't imagine that the music choice would be to many peoples taste as it was slow, piano jazz stuff. It wouldn't take much to bring it up to scratch as the old building, quirky seating and enviable canal side position are all big plus points. Would suggest that the parmesan is added to the meals at the table (as is usual) as being done so in the kitchen resulted in it being put onto the wrong meals.

I want to take a moment to highlight how friendly the staff is at this restaurant; it's wonderful to see it open. My wife and I started with the mixed starter, which was delicious and perfectly portioned for two. I can't wait to try the main course. I ordered the seafood linguine, which came in a rich, creamy tomato sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. My wife had the chicken carbonara, and she loved it as well. I also want to express my gratitude to Alex, our waitress, for her help and for making our meal so enjoyable. Thank you for a great dining experience!

The service here is warm and welcoming, and the food is absolutely fantastic and delicious. It's also very reasonably priced, offering great value for money.
