I was looking for a quick lunch and decided to try the steak pack, which was quite good. All the toppings were included, allowing for a customizable experience. However, I wish they had more options for spicy sauces; they only offered spicy tahini. I also took a chance and tried the chocolate hummus, and that turned out to be an excellent choice! What Rose doesn't like about Sajj Mediterranean (san Mateo):
The staff were friendly and the counter service was efficient (self-service). The space was clean, tidy, and had a nice open feel. However, the food was a letdown. It sounded appealing, but lacked flavor, with the vegetables being overcooked. The portions were generous, but again, the taste was lacking. Perhaps it was just an off day? Overall, I would rate the food a 3 out of 5. View all feedback.
Plenty of vegan flavors, properly labeled, and overflowing from whatever vessel you choose. Easily the best vegan meal for the price, and comes with a free lentil soup.
Excellent mediterranean food in a convenient location at a really reasonable price. The bowls come with cup of lentil soup which is delicious, and they have a beautiful parklet with plants, nice chairs umbrellas. Would recommend!Food: 5/5
My server Ileana Valdez best experience for being my first time. Not only the food but one of the best service. I will definitely come backFood: 5/5
Delicious food and friendly service. Have been here a few times and it's been good every time. The wraps are my go to with plenty of tasty toppings and the portion is healthy, think they give you a free lentil soup as well if you go during lunch time.
Good place for falafel bowl, skip the eggplant and cauliflower, have a burnt curry taste. Falafel was good, and liked the sauces.
