I love this place! The tacos are authentic, cheap and basic as they should be, with high quality meat, salsa, onion and cilantro on a soft corn tortilla. Couples incredibly good with a beer and chips salsa. Absolutely come back. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Taqueria Santa Cruz Express:
It’s a mediocre Mexican restaurant, the other two Mexican restaurants within one mile of it are better. Their tortillas are too thick and chewy and their beans are okay but nothing special. It’s the most expensive Mexican restaurant in its area and is probably the worst. They also have an $8 card minimum which the other restaurants don’t, just go down the street to taqueria San Miguel or taco Mexico View all feedback.
Three years ago, my friend and I stopped here on the way to Hearst Castle. It was a cold fog day and I ordered the Carne e su Jugo, which is a soup with ground beef and bacon. That warmed my soul and I always remember because I couldn't find it anywhere else. This time we had to take the 101 for snow on the 5. We threw around here because I believed that soup. It was the same - just so good and just as satisfying. The interiors have remained unchanged and the staff is still very friendly. With almost every order they give you a small white plate to fill on chips. Chips and salsa are unlimited and self-service! There is no mild salsa if you are the type that cannot deal with spiciness, but the pico de gallo in my opinion is quite mild. street parking only that can be a problem for lunch or dinner hour. On a sunny day it is great to dine on their terrace. Definitely recommend coming here, even if you're over.

This place is sincerely one of the best Taquerias in the area. You have the most meat you expect from an authentic Taqueria: Cabeza, lengua, tripa, you call it! All meats are cooked for perfection! Soft, juicy and delicate! I never had boiled meat here! The portions of the dishes are also quite huge for what you pay! I really recommend their tacos if you are looking for a light meal! If you were a bit on the hungry side, her California Burrito would be a pretty hefty but absolutely delicious food! Your Carne Asada Pommes is a whole meal itself! Note: You can replace the meat on the Carne Asada Pommes for each of the other meats. Only disappointment was her super-quadilla. They were very frugal with the cheese, but everything else was AMAZING.
We have two Burritos. I got a pastor Burrito who was okay, not really cheap, and my son got a Birria Burrito he really liked. We both enjoyed the Salsas that we have extras. I enjoyed the chili verde pork burrito, drilled chicken and lengua burritos before.
Good food and reasonably priced. When I ordered my burrito wet , I thought it would have cheese as well as sauce. If you want cheese too, ya better ask. It was delicious anyhow.
