The food never disappoints. Their soups are savory, and filled with fresh vegetables. Their famous chow mein draws me back again and again. So: shrimp with ginger soy sauce, or pork with plum sauce, maybe black bean sauce and beef? There are no bad choices, and all are still served up on the chef's delicately seasoned, crisp noodle cake, garnished with fresh cilantro. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian or not, everything... What Andrea Novitsky doesn't like about Mee Heng Low Noodle House:
The food was average, but WAY overpriced. A vegetarian bowl of lo mein is $14, and protein is extra. I didn't realize I was going to be paying $4 extra for pork or I would have gone elsewhere. $18 for a small portion of average lo mein from a fast casual restaurant?!? No thank you. I got a Chow Mein to go, it was very flavorful and the noddles were perfectly cooked. Great place!!
The food wasn’t very good, got chow mein with chicken and plum sauce (I think it was plum) anyhow, the sauce was the only flavorful part of the meal. I got a to go order and the noodles were placed on top on the sauce and toppings, instead of the sauce and topping being on the noodles which I though was strange, and which caused it to leak in the bag since the Chinese takeout containers are made of paper and not made to hold a spoon full of sauces and toppings sitting all at the bottom of it. The noodles were crunchy at one half and soft on the other, neither side had flavor, chicken only tasted like the sauce. The lady at the front didn’t seem too happy to be working there, and not very welcoming. The restaurant had a cool things to look at as I waited for my food, I had a wait behind 3 other people but wasn’t that bad of a wait. For $20 for a Chinese take out container of unmixed chowmein, this place isn’t that good. Edit for my reply from owner: it’s hard to put sauce on noodles that has already leaked out of the cardboard box and paper bag it was placed in. And the sauce adding flavor doesn’t add to the fact that the noodles were poorly cooked and the chicken had no flavor besides the sauce. And the fact I didn’t see a single Chinese person manning any part of the place, it is not authentic and not very good. And the whole point of a to go box is to eat food, to go, not to have set it up in another dish and eat it, especially if you know, I’m not at home or I went to a restaurant where I wouldn’t have a dish available. It should be the same experience as it is in the restaurant.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian or not, everything is prepared with fresh, quality vegetables. Parking: Weekends can get busy, but if you miss out on street parking, the parking structure is right across the strret. Kid-friendliness: The kids I've seen there seem happy to be there. Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible to the 1st floor. I'm not sure about about the upstairs.

A small hole in the wall restaurant beside the Palm Theater is a good lunch experience. We shared the pot stickers for appetizer which was perfect. My Sai Fun salad was fresh and delicious. I had a side of chicken which was thinly sliced, warm, and slightly crispy. Yummy dish. My friends both had Lo Mein. One had the spicy peanut sauce the other tried the ginger soy. Both dishes were nice portion and deemed very good. The iced tea was very nice.
