Was Animu at Guevarra's a mag?
The food is excellent, with a wide variety of options to choose from. I indulged until I could eat no more, definitely getting my money's worth. Some of my favorites were the crispy bagnet (or was it bacon?) and the lechon maja blanca. I look forward to trying the breakfast buffet next time. August 2025: I attended a birthday celebration at Guevarra's on a weeknight and was impressed. Our online reservation was quickly confirmed, and there was ample parking available on the property. The food was delicious, though a few dishes were a bit on the salty side (apologies to the chef!). We opted for the buffet dinner, which offered a great variety and was promptly replenished. The servers were attentive, ensuring portions were served to avoid any gluttonous behavior. The interior of the old house has a unique charm, with plenty of rooms and cozy nooks perfect for family gatherings or corporate events, all while enjoying the buffet. Despite being housed in an older building, it has been adapted for wheelchair accessibility, which I greatly appreciated. Overall, it’s a fantastic dining spot, and I highly recommend it. Meal type: Dinner. Price per person: ₱800–1,000. Food: 5/5. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 5/5.

The food at Guevarra's was impressive, scoring a 9/10 for taste and variety, although the selection felt somewhat limited with just one row of options, resulting in a variety score of 7/10. However, the overall experience left much to be desired, rated at 5/10. Several small issues accumulated during our visit: my family and I were bothered by three flies throughout our meal, the drinks station was a bit disorganized, the ice cream machine was either not functioning or unavailable, and while the restroom was clean, there were no paper towels. Additionally, the staff seemed overly eager to clear our dishes, removing glasses that still had drinks in them. The dessert selection was also quite limited. For dinner, we spent around ₱800–1,000 per person, resulting in food rated at 4/5, service at 3/5, and atmosphere at 2/5.
