La Gabacha - San José del Cabo

Found this gem walking around Artwalk. We were intrigued by the live music and open layout. So glad we chose to go in for dinner. We had the octopus and shrimp dishes. Both delicious - tons of unique flavor and just the right amount of spice. The live music and friendly service made the experience excellent.

Discovered this place on the evening of the Art Walk (a must do!) Great local food with a Mediterranean flare. I had the Octopus. The decor is fantastic Coffee by the open pit fire!

This restaurant is so cute. Open air (not much roof; but it doesn't rain much in the Baja). Menu is Mexican/European fusion. Good value. The fire pit is mesmerizing. Loved it!

Just happened to stumble upon La Gabacha when we couldn't get in to another restaurant without reservations. What an amazing experience. Fantastic ambiance, food accompanied by great live music. Truly a highlight of our stay in San Jose del Cabo. Ask for Marina, she provided us with top notch service and was a huge part of the overall amazing experience. I'd probably recommend an evening visit to enjoy a drink by the open fire before or after dinner. Empanadas were delicious, as were the ribs, surf and turf and flan Napolitano. Prices very reasonable and portions large.Do yourself a favour and don't miss out on this one!!!!
