Cool Tea - San Jose

Service was quick, but on my second sip of my taro milk tea my throat caught a blanket of powder. I began to realize that my tea was very powdery tasting which made it feel very odd. Never had it like that before maybe it was an off day, who knows? Drink sizes are big though, so you get good quantity. TL;DR Fast service. Felt like the drink that day was questionable. Drink sizes are large.

Quick take: very friendly service Ordered a Kumquat Green Tea/w boba. 70% sweet. Decided to get a large because it was hot. The large is a very generous portion for just $0.50 more. I definitely recommend the large if you are thirsty. The menu selection is a bit limited. The taste of the tea is ok.

Rating 3.5 Stars Jasmine Milk Tea and Roasted Milk Tea were both very milky with a very subtle tea taste. Both were also 50% sweet, which was actually fine and not super sweet or anything, but I could probably get 30% next time. I remember the Roasted Milk Tea having a much stronger roasted flavor back in the days so this was a slight letdown, but their grass jelly was way better than I remember. Honestly the silkiest grass jelly I've had from a boba spot. Boba on the other hand was very standard in terms of sweetness and texture. With so many new boba shops popping up, it's kinda sad to see all these old go to spots on the decline, but one thing CTB has over the rest is VALUE. Their Large is 32oz for around $5. So I'd come back if you're craving a large quantity milky tea that offers the best bang for your buck. And don't forget the grass jelly!

I've gone here on multiple occasions the staff is always very fast friendly. I love getting the kumquat green tea when I'm in the mood for something incredibly refreshing. They make the BEST kumquat tea I've ever had 5/5 if I could recommend any drink it would be this tea! I would say that this tea is what drives me to come over over again. It's incomparable, I've never tried kumquat tea as natural refreshing as theirs. If I'm in the mood for something sweet I'll occasionally order the oolong tea. I would say their milk teas aren't top tier but they're still definitely a 4/5. Their portions are huge worth the price compared to many other tea places in the area! The pricing is unbeatable. I really enjoy coming here service is normally fast. Once you order your drink is made within 5 minutes or less.
