Carl's Jr. - San Jose

Ok, it is fast food, so yeah...but the food is well prepared, the onion rings are crispy and some of the best ever when you want a guilty pleasure, and the people who work at this Carls are always warm and friendly and very professional. As with any fast food place though, if you get food to go..make sure you check your bag to make sure you got everything...hey, it's fast food and when they get busy things get missed. ;

Deals are good. The chicken tenders are awesome and better than Jack or Mcd's and it's clean. The only complaint, no heat in the winter and no AC in the summer here. Really wish they would invest in HVAC.

The staff in the drive-thru line were not particularly friendly. However, the food was enjoyable; the burger was hot, and the fries were freshly made. The overall service was good, but the only downside was that we were never asked if we wanted any condiments. We ordered fried zucchini but didn’t receive any ranch or other dipping sauces. Aside from that, it was really good.

For fast-food burgers, Carl's offers a surprisingly high-quality option. I'm not a fan of thin, flimsy patties that seem to have been artificially flavored while cooked in large batches. In fact, I typically only enjoy burgers that I’ve grilled to perfection myself on an outdoor gas grill. However, on those rare occasions when I find myself working late and it's nearly 9 PM, tired and hungry on my way home, I've stopped at Carl's and enjoyed a decent burger—one that I didn't regret later. So, under the right circumstances, they definitely make it onto my list of acceptable choices.

We had almost forgotten what great burgers tasted like, but this place is fantastic! The burgers are delicious, and you can tell that they cook the patties on a grill, unlike some other places that seem to microwave them. I truly enjoyed my burger—it's as simple as that!
