What User doesn't like about Barra El Polo:
Very good (freshly ground) black coffee that doesn't automatically come with a load of sugar, thank God. Tostadas were disappointing, although fresh, very meager on the ingredients and basically just bread on bread. View all feedback.
Clean, beautiful place, with excellent prices for good food.
This place is great. great for breakfast, lunch and probably dinner. I love their breakfast options, which tend to dominate the menu from a good background. Come here and you'll thank me later.

San Francisco wouldn't be the same without El Polo. The owners are not entirely dominican so the menu offers a mix of dominican and european dishes. I love the cream donuts (a rarity in the island! as well as the kindness of all the crew and the coziness of the place (sorry DR but there it is a second national rarity, especially outside the inner cities . If you stay in San Francisco more than an hour, pass by El Polo, no matter if for breakfast, lunch, dinner, a quick coffee or a diet-breaking delicious pastry. The central city park is at 5 steps distance, and always a nice spot to observe the genuine dominican oldstyle way of living. In the morning the iron chairs line is often packed with guys reading their paper or talking to each others, while at their feet young men polish wittingly their shoes. El Polo y el Parque are pure dominicanstyle, enjoy both!
