Yonkers Cafe - San Francisco

This is now one of my favorite sandwich shops! Every sandwich I have tried has been delicious. The sandwiches are big and hearty, and the owner and staff are fantastic. The only downside is that it is dangerously close to my home, making it too easy to visit frequently.

I didn't try the pastrami or Reuben, but the Firehouse sandwich is a 6 out of 5! This place is definitely worth a visit in the city.

I went here for a gluten-free breakfast sandwich while my friends waited for devils tooth. it was much quieter and much faster! it would be a six star stop if only her gluten-free brot was somewhat larger. udis and canyon bakehouse now sell both 24 unzen brote, but yonkers (at least for today) has still used the smaller brot. about the size of their palm that said they were making up by grabbing the sandwich as if it were a bigger piece of brot that they did not sneak on the fillings! the murphy was great!

I have been to several highly-rated sandwich shops in the city, and Yonkers Cafe is one of the few that truly lives up to its reputation. With a no-frills atmosphere, fresh and high-quality ingredients, delicious flavors, generous portions, and reasonable prices, it has everything you could ask for in a sandwich shop. I visited on a weekday morning and tried their best mode sandwich (roasted pork, turkey, gouda, pesto, avocado), which was absolutely delicious. Despite the limited seating, I enjoyed my meal even standing on the side. For the price, I believe it offers great value. I will definitely be returning (again and again).

Coffee served Luke warm. Kinda embarrassing for a coffee shop to charge 3.65 for a small, cold coffee. The sandwich was good.
