Had lunch here yesterday. Friendly attentive staff. Enjoyed so much we came back for dinner tonight. I can highly recommend the Moroccan chicken and also the spicy chicken special. Oh and the sangria is to die for. View all feedback.
What Scott Lawrence doesn't like about Cafe Mystique:
Good but not amazing. Grilled Romaine salad was not my favorite. When you grill lettuce it takes on a slimy texture. Add some bacon bits to the top of that and a little bit of melted blue cheese and it seems like you're eating a plate full of grease. I had grilled shrimp added to the salad. This place is amazing! Our friend that lives in the Bay Area took us there and we loved it so much that we had dinner there our first night on Thursday night there and went back on Sunday for brunch before we left. The risotto and hummus were so delicious!!! The owner/chef is the most welcoming person we met in CA. Everything was fantastic from the decor to the waiters to the busser!
The food was great ....good service and had the best sangria ever!
The food is always, ALWAYS delicious, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They actually prepare your food when you order it, so don't be in a hurry. Order some wine, relax with your companions, and look forward to a great meal.
Best place to eat in the Castro. It gets better and better each time.
