Authentic Cantonese cuisine! We enjoyed everything we ordered. I particularly enjoyed the cart noodles, as they allow customers to choose from a selection of 4 items. View all feedback.
What Bonnie C doesn't like about Beyond Cafe:
They are a really small mom and pop noodle place right across the street from the old Mercedes benz shop. The parking here is definitely tough. They have a very simple menu. The first page is the 4 set item. This means you can choose 4 items on the menu, which includes meat, sides, and veggies. Then, you move onto the noodle section and last the seasoning.I choose the beef tendon, beef brisket, and thin egg noodles. W... View all feedback.
Good bang for your buck! Decent portion sizes.Had the fried garlic chicken lollipop ?. This is the dish that I'd come back for! I have yet to try the honey sesame version of this. Definitely getting that the next time I'm here.Had the Laksa Noodles which I didn't expect much of an experience, but I was pleasantly surprised by the portion and taste! As someone who loves and makes laksa from scratch the Singaporean/Malaysian way. This was close but there were some missing elements to the taste. Then again I don't hold it against them since they are a HK style restaurant and it wasn't promoted/listed on the menu as Laksa of that style.Gave the head waiter a big fat tip for being patient and polite with us. We were the last customers and stayed 15mins after closing. There's definitely room for improvement when it comes to this restaurant's atmosphere, taste, and food presentation.TLDRGood causal dinning that will leave you feeling satisfied. Get the fried chicken!
Authentic Hong Kong taste! Ordered wonton noodle brisket rice noodle and both are very good.
Beyond cafe has decent war basket style noodles. I love the variety of their menus. they can take their selection on the broth type, the noodles type, thin or thick, toppings or go straighten with the popular. we chose the popular dishes, braided beef basket thick noodle $15 (with the option to choose only the tendons) szechuan spicy brisket noodles $14, curry beef basket reis $16.50, delicate greens with oyster sauce $14, soy sauce wing $11 and some HK-style military $4.50. they are not a lust or best tasting in the area of the bay for these types of dressing. beyond cafe is characterized by the various possibilities. service was excellent. good staff in beyond cafe.
A small menu with big flavors, this unique restaurant is sure to fill you up!
We drove 380 miles to try this place (also for a wedding), LOL. The food was good and cheap, not cheap in quality, but cheap as in . Ample street metered parking all around. Authentic HK food and taste. The wonton noodles, the honey/garlic or honey/ginger chicken lollipops and the pork belly buns were my favs. Everything else was simple HK dishes and favorites done well.
